HOW TO SECURE YOUR DOMAIN?

Securing a domain is crucial as it ensures that all sensitive information such as name, email, phone
number and credit card information is sent encrypted for security reasons. This also ensures
compliance with POPI Act. This can be done by installing an SSL certificate. A secured website
gives your visitors and audience a piece of mind when browsing through your website. It is more
critical for e-commerce site to show their potential customers that they take their safety seriously
and that their domains show the padlock sign with the domain url name.

Locate the Domains tab in the cPanel and click on it.

This will display all the domains with “Let’s Encrypt SSL certificates”.

• If no certificate exists, click on “+Issue” certificate button.

This will automatically issue and install a new SSL certificate under the chosen domain name.

Note: In this page you can also renew, reinstall or completely remove an SSL certificate.

Note: This section allows you to check the validity of a current SSL certificate if there is any.

The SSL/TLS Manager will allow you to generate SSL certificates, certificate signing requests, and private keys.

In this section you are able to check the status of all your installed SSL certificates.

View domain verified certificates.
Usually with a green padlock.

View self-signed SSL certificate which needs to be verified in order for the green padlock to display next to it.
